Looks a bit fishy as his number starts with 8 and not 0 but email him back with a ridiculus price and see what he says

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Why would anyone within the UK want to pay in euros? This is definitely dodgy, avoid.

typical message meant to be sent to several million people, Dear Seller or 'For the attention of the Homeower (who ever that is cos we don't know). 'I am keen to purchase your item', which one? who in their right mind would say that, is it a secret?

One of the many retarded attempts by ‘you know who’ to con numptys.

I'm just surprised how many people even need to ask if its a scam as there's been a few on here lately. Its so obvious (to me at least) that it is - just surprised the question needs to be asked.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/0870_number
scam to get you to call the number.

Advert harvested by a bot and spewed out in millions

Another reason to remove your details from forums after you have sold the item

or only give details by u2u only when needed. Having your e-mail address on a forum...well don't be too surprised to get one or two spam mails

Obviously a scam. I think I'd be tempted to string him along for a while for messing me about but you have to remember some of these guys are serious criminals and there's nearly always alot more info about you on the net than you would like.
