How can I get to St Pancras EARLY on a Sunday?
Evening all - Has anyone any good suggestions how I can get to London St. Pancras International on a Sunday?
I'm going away for a four day cheap break and booked the cheapest - not thinking how we could get there from Salisbury on a Sunday morning!!
Hotels look too expensive and booked up already. Happy to drive closer and bus/train in but there doesn't seem to be a good selection of
trains!
I need to be there for 7am Sunday morning (13th April) and return 4 nights later. Can anyone help suggest options?
Thanks all

If I wanted to go to St Pancras on a Sunday morning I wouldn't set off from there
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

Thanks Steve but have looked there and it's a bit beyond our budget!
We were trying to do this as cheaply as possible and it's not looking good!

how far a drive is it? Is there nowhere within taxi distance you can leave your car for a few days? How about drive to another station? Or do the
trains not run that early?

Thanks Joel - It's about 100 miles away from me but happy to drive, just not sure where I could leave (her) car!

Is there an overnight coach, say from the west country to London Victoria Coach station, that picks up in Salisbury ?
My experience is they pick up in the middle of the night and deliver to Victoria at some ungodly hour. Then you tube to St Pancras. Not sure though
what time tube starts running on Sunday morning but I can check for you.

Might be a bit stuck mate, trains tend to start running about 6.30 on a Sunday down there so you'd be off too early to stay in one of the outer
London areas. I take it you're off on the Eurostar, might be worth looking at alternative connection points, i think you can get on at
Ebbsfleet and Ashford? Might be worth looking into?

The tubes don't run that early on sunday. I live near burnt oak tube - you can park nearby for free and get a bus. Leaving at 6.10 gets you at
st pancras at 7.06.
I've never done it though.

If I'm not too late to offer a suggestion?
You need to get yourself north of London on the First Capital Connect service between Bedford and Brighton. This train service stops at the
International Station at a newly built platform. You can choose where you stay. There are several Travel Lodges/Inns in Luton, The Brache being one
and this is just near Luton Airport station, in fact 400 yards away! The train is about 50 mins to the Eurostar terminal.
You can go closer if you wish St Albans etc but you will pay more for the hotels.
Hope this helps a bit?
