Checking out a Reno Van

Hi folks,

Wonder if you might be able to help. A friend of mine is going to look at a "1994 (L) Renault Master T35 Day Van" in the view of using it at Glastonbury this year. It's done 200K miles. Not knowing much about vans I wonder if you clever lot would know what he should look out for when he goes to have a look at it over the weekend and any specific Reno weaknesses.

Cheers

Dave

Biggest weakness - the name.
Your friend would be better off with a transit

For Glastonbury make sure it has mud terrain tyres, at least on the front, the mattress is good, it may see a lot of action, and that there is some semblance of soundproofing at least shag pile glued to the walls and ceiling, not for sleeping but just to escape listening to the worst bands on in the mornings

If its rotten in one corner you could place the toilet seat over the hole.

check the requirements for glasto - to be a campervan it must have certain things (like bed, toilet and stove etc)

I can't wait / dreading sunday morning. I just hope i get my tickets (and double hope is early - so i can go to a friends to watch the GP, then off out for sunday lunch).
