Scam?
This caught my eye
as I am thinking of buying a new lappy.
As the seller has a zero feedback rating I asked where it was in London and could I go and pick it up and pay cash?
I know it looks too cheap but it is a US spec and it could have been bought cheaply over there and still make a profit here. Naturally I am keen not
to pay my money and just hope that it arrives!
Anyway this is the response I got:
Sir,
Im very sorry but I'm not in UK right now and I think it's better to ship the package from here concedering that I will pay for shipping
and postage cost.
Let me know and I will provide you all details
regarding shippment and payemnt.
The price who I want is 800.

I would suspect so Mark, £600 is reasonable, our corporate rate for T61's is £740 each, but these are UK spec fully supported.
There are better lappy's for that money, look at the Toshiba range....

it is defnitely genuine, can you ask for an address where do I send my bank details to?
Ask him when he plans to return to UK?
Ask for a phone number tell use if he has a Nigerian accent.

Don't buy used electronics, or even NEW electronics over the web. Don't ask how I know, but I can tell you it won't be worth it, no
matter what the price. It can truly be a pain in the neck.

Someone using the exact same ad wording (even the home made title?) was tryin gto sell these on a site called pHing however they used the name -
