didn't watch the sport today watched the torch parade instead.
Hi all,
firstly I don't want to be political.
I didn't watch the sport today, but I have sat and watched the torch parade in london. This may sound wrong but I couldn't help but smile
at the securtiy and how the protestors still managed to cause problems.
oh and I bet we payed for this!
Quote "In all, around 2,000 Metropolitan Police - including airborne, mounted and river units - were mobilised for the eight-hour
event"

What an absolute farce that event has turned out to be by the looks of it. Couldnt be bothered watching it but have seen the "highlights"
on the BBC website with someone trying to grab the torch and someone else setting off a fire extinguisher. Would love to know how much that
"event" has cost us. Cant see the point of it myself anyway.

i watched it after the gp and loved it. Guessing where the next person would come from, how close they'd get - it was great entertainment.
Also funny watching how many police they had.
