I think B&Q are being a tad short sighted here though.
Firstly they should put the price up to 49.99 while no-one realises.
Next they should employ the same media spin doctors that the banks have. Then they can create some mass panic that moles have been found and will soon
(within 2 weeks) destroy every garden in N.I. unless you get a mole repeller.
Then put a full full page ad in Sunday paper with a 25% discount voucher off their best unit.
It worked for the housing market and introduction of crazy motgage fees, selective application approval and higher rates for some.
