Nissan X-trail key
friend has lost key to Nissan Xtrail - nissan want £ 300
what are the options?
(I've looked on ebay abd fobs are being sold that can be reprogrammed - I cannot work out if teh key will fit the lock or not - look like they
are precut keys).

I would have thought that the key would be referenced to a lock number & cutting database - hence the extortionate cost. Probably cheaper than
changing all of the locks though.
Cheers,

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

presumably is what Nissan charge for - it is likley that auto kye seller my have this dBase .......

Daft question but "is there no spare?"
Every new car comes equipped with an Alarm Fob and a non-alarm fob at least. Surely on such a new car although maybe not an alarmed fob, it will work.
Until he/she saves up
