Cryptic Search for a Car
I'm after some pictures of a particular car. Only problem is I can't remember what it's called.
It was American I think, and from the sixties or seventies.
Built in very small numbers.
It had a two door two seat coupe body, similar to an e type but with much shorter front and rear overhangs, and the seats set right back near the rear
wheels.
It had an American V8 engine, which was famously set so far back in the car that the gear box output shaft virtually bolted straight to the diff.
Although rare I believe it is a well known car amongst petrol heads.
I thought it was called a cougar or coogar (nothing to do with Ford or Mercury) or a similar single name, and I remember someone posting about it on
here in the past.
Does anyone know the car I'm talking about?
David

as a bit of useless locostbuilders trivia, i believe this was the first
thread it was mentioned in by c10corym.
it was the first time it was brought to my attention anyway.
tom
ETA after a quick search, it was mentioned back in 2002. before my time though so i've decided that doesn't count.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
