Freeview / DVD player combo
Is it possible to get one cheap? I know you can buy both seperately for £20 each. After one for kids bedroom. Tried Currys site tonoght but for some
reason kept crashing. Argos site only showed more expensive ones.
They have a Sony DVD player already but its a pain. Quite expensive in its day but a pain. Doesnt like scratched (and i mean only slightly - nightnare
seeing as kids dont understand ow to handle) or copy discs (as in home movies etc). I wont ever buy Sony again.

I've never seen the all in one's for digital and DVD before but failing that you can now get freeview boxes that are literally nothing
more than a slightly oversize scart plug if it's space you're looking to save. In terms of the Sony it might be worth looking up a hack
off the net as mine now plays almost anything, and is now also multi region.

Wow - thats looks ideal. Thanks for the link. I saw something similar on Currys site last night but thought the set top box was missing from the
pic.
Main reason for thinking of a combo was so there wasnt too many boxes in the room cluttering the place up.
I searched for DVD hack for my Sony ages ago but couldnt find one. Biggest issue is it doesnt like home made discs, but other than works OK in a
fashion. Even when brand new it was strange. Cant tolerate even the lightest of finger marks or scratches - something kids struggle to avoid.
My youngest daughter - 3 - knows discs have to be clean, im having trouble stoping her licking them clean when she sees muck on them Bloody kids.

Ohhh, don't get me started, my teenage daughter's favourite trick is to go out leaving her heated hair straightners ON and lying on the
floor ...... did it again this morning so she'll now have wavy hair for the next week as they're confiscated ......
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

I remember my sister leaving an electric heater on the carpet that had broken feet, melted it's way through the carpet!
