and why would someone sell something that they are sure will rocket in price? Looks like it was a give away when someone spent £2000 on a tool

When I was doing my metalwork in my RAF training I came top of the class with my mock piece and was told I would be put forward for best piece of the
year/term whatever on my final work and the prize was a gold Snap On spanner. Apparently it happened every year. I wonder if this was summat like
that? Incidentally I got no where near as they made me work with the lad who came bottom of the class who duly altered my rivet countersinking tool
meaning the heads were all too low Tool!
