I was there for the last celebration. At that time there was the then current 617 squadron with tornados. The red arrows, the parachute display team
and the Lanc. The tornados came down the reservoir at 250 feet, boring see that all the time round me. The red arrows main display had to be done
above the surrounding hills, but the singletons did there opposition pass between the dam towers. It was too windy for the parachutists to do their
display safely so the Herc pilot did a pass down the reservoir at about 100 feet and dived down the valley. Very entertaining to see something that
size do it. Sick bags compulsory. Finally the Lanc did a pass at the then operational height of 60 feet and did the same. Amazing to see a 50 year old
aircraft do what the Tornado pilots couldn’t

I was blest with that at the Goodwood revival a couple of years ago, Fantastic, they are not allowed to do it again due to insurance what a shame.

Went to see the flypast today. Fantastic to see the lancaster again. From the hill I was on the planes flew below us.

amazing, i was sat in the van in a drive near worksop and saw the lancaster fly overhead, i was gobsmacked. Even more amazing, i guessed it was a
lancaster!

Not trumpet blowing here (actually, yes I am ) but I was lucky (honoured) enough to be involved in some work on that last year whilst is was in for
servicing at Coventry....what a piece of machinery!!! Simply beautiful. Awesome. One of the highlights of my career to date. The blokes that sat in
those things have my absolute utmost awe and respect!!! It was an extreme effort to climb through the fuselage whilst it was on the ground, Lord knows
what it must have been like in the air? Tried to fit into the rear gunner pod - impossible!!
Loved the footage - best noise in the world? Sound of my 'busa on full chat makes me cream, but it's nothing compared to that beauty!!
