Shell petrol strikes

There may be a four day strike from 6am Friday 13 June to 6am Tuesday 17 June.

If the strike goes ahead it will mean that fuel deliveries to Shell petrol stations across the country will be affected between these dates. All other petrol stations will be operating as normal.

Since when did they need any form of excuse?

Petrol stations around where I work in Southport (a bit of a retirement haven) are already busier than normal with little grey haired people filling to the brim various variety's of Rovers and Mercedes which most of them have probably only driven 100 miles in the last month or so. But then if you get huge banner headlines on the front page of the Daily Mail saying 'PETROL SHORTAGE' what else is going to happen

I would advise everyone to go fill up to brim and help bring the country to its knees.

Sadly, I really don't believe we need take any action to achieve this end, it will happen. Greed, debt - political interference, deceit and control - will end it all soon.
The petrol thing is happening here (Bude, Cornwall), the crawling masses of the retired are clogging up gas stations with their Micras.

As I understand it, the tanker drivers working for the firm with Shells delivery contract earn an average of £35,000 per year and want a 13% raise!

I'm finding it a little difficult to have any sympathy with them.
