ETB Oil pressure gauge

I connected up all the instruments last nite and everything worked ok except the OIL pressure gauge which goes full scale to max despite the engine not running. I've connected up as per the ETB instructions ie switched live to the B terminal and the Oil pressure sensor to T with earth and lighting connections to the relevant connectors.

I used the gauge when I first fired up the engine wired on a temp basis and it worked ok but now its in its permanent position it don't work !!!!!

Is the sender OK?

Sounds like it might be short/open circuit and sending a full scale reading all the time.

Other than that it sounds like a polarity problem.

There are two feed from the sender. One for the gauge and one for the low pressure light. Are you sure you have these the right way round?

I think these are very tempremental - the gauge on my friends car does this, and i have also heard many other reports..

see if they will replace the sender as you see it as faulty.

yes thanks guys you've confirmed my thoughts that the sensor is the problem.
I'll give ETB a call.
