Numpty (me) adds himself to the walking wounded

Late last night (midnight ish) I was drilling some 4.8mm rivet holes. Had a 2mm pilot drill in and was about half done when bang the drill broke. Was obviously pressing too hard as the drill bounced off the ally and the bit came down hard on my stupid/unluckly placed thumbnail.

So 3 hours in A&Ewith a smashed thumbnail, drilled nailbed, a (justifiably) grumpy missus and newcastles finest performing drunks.
Fortunately it didn't hit the bone or leave a bit of drill embedded as shown by the x-ray. So one dressing later (it'll fall off soon apparently so wasn't worth doing more) and a tetanus booster it was off home.

a few months back i was changing the alternator on my Pug106. i undid the top bolt, and the alternator swung down, and squashed my finger inbetween the alternator, and the engine.. MAN that hurt, it split my nail down the middle, had blood dripping out of the crack and then made it go all black

Bad luck mate but i can sympathise with the above drunk statement.
Had to go in with swmbo 3 weeks ago and there was a jucking funkie in first. it took all the staff to watch and treat her as she could not be left alone. Talk about intensive care required. They are treated first to get them out of the road cause they are a proper pain in the arse.
Good luck with the healing process.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
