I think people are coming to realise that the Government take absolutely no notice of petitions. 1.8 million against road pricing and they're still going to do it. The only reason it's not in place now is the dimwits hadn't thought about where the required technology was going to come from.

The on-line petitions are just designed to make you think you live in a democracy and to defuse real protest.

this goverment is all our faults ....... we should vote when given the chance we should protest when we have something to say all political partys need to be told they work for US we pay there wages ... if people shout loud enough things will change ....... we still have freedom of speech in this country its time to use it before its to late and its taken away .... my Grandad fought his way across france for that right

The trouble is no government will significantly reduce fuel duty, reduce taxes, withdraw us from Iraq and Afghanistan, de-activate nuclear weapons,
remove speed humps etc, etc.
This is why people get weary of the whole political process.
Just why is it that people who go into politics seem so removed from the desires of ordinary people?

Its the same story what ever situation you are in... The people higher up "Think" then know whats best and so dont listen to the "ordinary" people...

Bosses at work, polititians etc, they are all the same....
