Mondeo radio removal help? Code needed!
Trying to remove the Ford 6006E radio from my Mondeo, I've got the right 'keys' for it but no matter how hard I pull it wont budge,
am I being daft?
The keys seem to click in fine but the unit wont pull forward at all.
All suggestions welcome.
Also once its been removed I need to the security code as it never came with the car. Does anyone here have the software to get the code from the
serial number.
Thanks

Yeah I removed my dads using bog-o radio removal keys and it wasnt easy!
In the end I think we used very long nails to wedge into each hole and yanked on them using a pair of pliers!
Dad was panicking as his dash was flexing away but no damage was done.
Im sure Ford have a more elegant way of doing this but the nail trick worked for us. Nice thick-uns mind you...

I think you may be able to get the serial number from ford, there are people out there that will recode your radio for about £15.00

once the keys have clicked, pull them apart, as in towards the doors, and try pulling it then.
if not, get a friend and a gasket scraper/screwdriver to lever it GENTLY!
