Where would the energy come from? Thats the crux. You dont get ANYTHING for nothing.

We did on high-school some tests with Eletrolyse but I never measured the used energy to split H20. So maybe.......

there is nothing perpetual motion like about cold fusion. Its the 'cold' part that causes the trouble!
I'll stick with the laws of thermodynamics myself.
