03 Vectra brake warning light
Hi I have an 03 Vectra ( new shape ). The "front brake pad warning light" has come on, even through it had new pads 3 months ago. Can it
detect worn discs, or can it sense the rear brakes as well?
Or is it bjorked?
Cheers guys,
Jon

check the rear pads first for wear sensors, but after that, disconnect the pad sensor wires on the front pads (if it'll let you, can't see
why not) and try it again. if the light's still on, the fault lies outside the pads themselves.
this is non vehicle specific suggestion btw, but would suffice on the systems i've ever had contact with.

on my old E30 BMW, the warning light came on if the pads were disconnected. unplugging the fronts may not put the light out

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Thanks guys, will give it a go.
Anyone know the minimum disc thickness? They're worn but still look ok...
