Adhesive advice
Probably been covered before, but I have little luck searching here.....
I need to bond/glue aluminium wing stays to grp, what's the best to use?
Generic description, if possible, as some brands may not be available here.
Cheers,
Alan

I've used Sikaflex which is a brand of PU adhesive, sticks like turd on wool. I've bonded my wings to my wing stays (Steel rather than
ali though.) and i broke the arches before i broke the bond when i changed up a wheel size.

221 is generally used, although Ive used EBT through out and have yet to have a problem with it.
If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

I've used generic polyurethane adhesive to bond GRP cycle wings to powder coated steel. after 3 years, the powder coat came off the steel but
the adhesive was as strong as ever.

are you sure the alluminium items are strong enough I have seen several sets of steel wing stays fracture due to vibration, on several differnt
vehicles including MK, Locost caterham etc
