go to settings tab, down to, network settings, then internet connection settings, its up to you if you use the automatic detection / setup. there are
also some good videos on youtube about setting up your pc so you can access media from your ps3 through the hub. goodluck.

right i have connected it to the internet, wasn't to much of a hoo haa once i read a few forums, had to enter all the ip address and stuff
manually though but only took a few minutes.
the problem i have now though is that it says that i have to download an update, went into update settings and clicked 'via the internet'
and now its on the download screen and has been on 0% for some 5 minutes now!
and now its just come up server error - is that from playstations end?

It will take ages to update, especially if it's the first update. A few hours should see it right, I left mine on overnight!
Check it periodically, as mine reset after 65% and had to be restarted!!

just keep trying!
My PS3 connected to my router using the search for networks bit and then did everything autmatically. The updates for me took ages and would sometimes
fail. i think it can be due to a bust netwrok, you just have to keep doind and it should eventually work!!
if not ring sony, they are very helpful.
my PS3 froze and then wouldn't read discs, rang sony after looking at forums and they said they would send me a new one, even though i had no
original receipt and i bought it off ebay - i told them this but they didn't mind, they just needed the serial number on the back

JUST A NOTE FOR PEOPLE! ITS MUCH QUICKER TO GET UPDATES FROM THE SONY WEBSITE AND THEN JUST PUT IT ON PS3 WITH A MEMORY STICK!

I'd always advise getting the updates online now, much quicker, doesnt disconnect or die, or reset itself!
AAANND you can still play on it in offline mode whilst it works!
