recomend me a book
hi i am off on holiday soon and realy looking forward to it (not) so thought i would make use of the time and get a bit more clued up on engine
building
i know how to put an engine together i was thinking more on locost theem around engine blueprinting basic head work that sort of thing
my engine is a c20xe if it makes a difference

Honestly - try to escape into a novel or similar. Sure take the engine book but imho there is no better way to unwind than to do/read something
totally different.
In the last week I read the latest Andy McNab, Sniper One by Sgt Dan Mills and half of a collection of short stories from Fredrick Forsythe. I only
ever get the luxury of reading such things on holiday but it a rare pleasure.

Was just about to recomend Sniper One when I saw the post above!
Just finished it myself.... bloody fantastic.
Oh, and the new Terry Pratchett about the Mint is out in paperback too.

how do you get away with that?????
i would be ssssssoooo dead if i even mentioned cars or took a book like that on holiday !!!!!!
EG.. We went to Cuba and my missus was not one bit impressed with all those olde yank motors while i was gawping like a train spotter!!!!

she's egging me on as i usualy want to go everywheer and see the sights while she wants to sit and chill
as regards the books i really cant get into anything non car related unfortunatly

I quite like Clive Cussler. It's boy toyz but you can read it with a mahusive hangover and half your brain asleep and still vaguley follow the
plot...

this
Splendid book. Even has specific engine info for the XE in there. It is hardcore enought that you can actually learn useful info, and thick enough to
keep you goin for a few holidays!

Try Jackie Stewarts life story (winning is not enough) It for me was a great read and believe me I ain't a reader. I've only read around 8
books in 30 years since I left school.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I have the first edition of G Bells book, its been my bible for years, well worth purchasing.
FYI The old one still deals with carbs, webers, holley etc, so probally more suited to pinto, kent RV8 owners
