Need Paris hotel recommendation - 15th Anniversary...

Hi guys,
I need to build up some major brownie points with my good lady so that I can get time to finish off my car and with our 15th wedding anniversary coming up in August I thought a surprise weekend break for two might be just the ticket. (Assuming my folks can take the kids...)

We've both been to Paris separately on business trips but never together so I thought it was a good bet. What I'm looking for are some recommendations for a nice hotel with a bit of Parisienne character but which is also clean and well equipped. It needs to be not too far from the centre and of good quality but not extortionate. I'm more familiar with the sort of hotel I'd go to on a business trip but I'm looking for something with a bit more je ne sais quoi...

Thanks,
Craig.

Are you sure it's not De Walt? They might do a discount on some useful power tools

Its a great little hotel pretty central near Madeline/Opera I stay there whenever I can get in and myself an my colleagues agree its by far the best reasonably priced hotel we have found in central Paris. Room rate I'm not 100% certain on but I seem to recall its approx 160 Euro per night.
