hmmm, let me think -

Its RWD - box 1 ticked
148bhp - box 2 ticked

Fits the bill - but i can think of 27,000 reasons why i should not use it

Very nice, I was all fired up about a new motor, Mitsubishi L200 Animal, but, this lousy governments tax regieme has kicked the arse out of used car values, so the is200 is going to get driven into the ground.....

Got my new one yesterday. I got the 123D MSport. Ok it's not the most practical or prettiest but it does make me grin! CO2 is about 138g/km and it's already showing >50mpg. But the best bit is that it's 204bhp, RWD and 0-62 in 7.0.

50mpg under what conditions though?

Blues Brothers chase scene or Driving Miss Daisy? Like they showed on Top Gear with the Prius, the MPG a car does depends very much on how the car is driven.... which is why the MPG on my Locost is so low I change up when the audible gear shift indicator (otherwise known as the rev limiter) kicks in!!!!

50mpg should be very easy on a motorway run. If driven sparingly I'd expect you to get in the mid to high 50's no trouble - may need a bit more running in to show it's best though.

The real beauty is that you can get decent mpg when you want/need it and then have an absolute blast when you feel like it

My neighbour has a Toyota Yaris I.E Shopping Trolley -- He gets 75MPG on the motorway in a 1.5 Diesil.

But he does have to drive a Yaris.....

It is genuinely showing more than 50mpg (ok I know that this may be exagerated but not by me!). Of the 100 miles done so far, 80 of them have been on the motorway and I haven't caned it continually due to the low mileage. Temptation has got the better of me a couple of times though.
I know that they are not to everyone's taste but I'm pretty impressed so far (and I had a proper BMW detachable towbar fitted (work paid!) so I can tow my car trailer for trackdays when I eventually get the kit finished - Although I may have changed company cars again by then!!)
