Hot brake servo

Just taken the car out for a spin on my private airfield to make sure it runs ok....

It seems to, goes and stops really well.

Although the engine temp starts to creep up at anything over 40mph...I dont think the airflow through the rad and out of the engine bay is good atall!

One point of concern is the brake servo..

The servo is about 2" from one of the exhaust headers... After a 30 min drive the servo was almost too hot to touch at the bottom.

I assume thats not going to be good for it or the brakes???

How hot can the servo get before it gets damaged and stops working?

I could put a heat shield between the servo and headers, but all thats going to do is slow the heat down, eventually it will get through....

I would first of all sort out the air flow through the engine bay. Once you get the engine cool and the hot air out of the bay then look at the servo. I would wrap the exhausts at that point and a nice polished heat sheild. You shouldn't have a problem.

Chears for the response.

The pipes are already wrapped....

I will get it through the SVA next week and then start looking at ways of opening up the engine bay a bit to let the hot air out.... Need to stop my feet melting as well!
