Red Tape
Sorry but I need to winge. My Golf has just gone in the garage this morning for a few niggles, the worst of all is that the lower part of the front
spoiler has become detached. I think a rough car park may be to blame. Anyway the garage have quoted £76 for the new parts and fitting an then
requested it to be approved by lease company.
But they won't, that's bodywork so is accident damage, you need to speak to the innsurance company. OK so I phone them, I have to report
it as a accident. Ok so can they give me the OK to spend £76, I can have the car back fixed in an hour. Nope they will have to process the paperwork,
then send a lorry out to pick it up, take it to one of their garages, quote on it, then if they can fit it in do the job, or maybe bring it back and
go through the whole process again.
I think that will be much more expensive than £76. But nooo we can't just let a VW main dealer fix a simple problem, our people need to look at
it and define what needs doing.
Ahh it's a plastic spoiler, I'd refit it if one of the mounting holes had not broken.
It's no wonder insurnance costs so much!!!!

If I tell em to Feck Off I have to pay £76. I'm pissed off but £76 that's half a new Mig welder...

i hit a side of the road taking a bend to fast once.
1200 quid damage
the fact they replaced a mazda alloy REAR wheel that had been scuffed on a kerb and nowt to do with accident at 400 quid hardly helped keep costs
down.
I told this to ins co and they didnt give a shyte
