Will my little sis be summoned to court for 42 in a 30?
My little sis has just text me to say she was flashed by a speed camera doing about 42 in a 30. Silly girl although to be fair I always thought that
road was a 40 but fortunately I never drive down it.
Anyway, I would have thought she might have to go to court for that one because it was so much over? Anyone know of the guidelines??

I pled guilty by post to 58 in a 30, mind you the judge threw the book at me "for not having the courtesy to face him" (despite the fact i
was in hospital!?!?!)
Best to go and plead in my opinion

Keep twinky fingers and toes crossed it was out of film, then breath a siege of relief, then lesson learned?

Hello
I would go back and look at the back of the camera,(assuming its the square yellow box type that flash from behind)
At the top left and right corners there are two round disc's,if they are black there is film in it,if they are yellow there is no film but will
still flash and you won't get done.
A mate of mine repair's them.
I got flashed 12 months ago at 43 in a 30 and the sent me a letter saying 3 points or court in a abrupt pay up manner, set the wife on them (a
solicitor) and they dropped it for lack of evidence on the person driving.they couldn't prove it was me,being a company car at the time it was
insured for anybody and by the time the letter had gone to the lease company and back to the police and then to the people i worked for back to the
police and then to me it had taken 6 weeks and i couldn't remember who was driving it!!!
Good luck

If she really had an indicated 42 chances are she was only doing a real 39 below 10mph above the limit.

And even if she does, they can deal with that in her absence.
