Mini wiper systems....changing ratios?

According to the friendly SVA man my wipers dont cover enough of the screen...

I believe I have a standard mini wiper system...so 90 degree wheel boxes?

Is it possible to get different ratio wheel boxes so I can get the wipers to sweep a bit further?

I recon the wipers currently sweep around 85% of the screen leaving a 7" unwiped area infront of the passenger seat....but apparently thats not acceptable....

IT's not the rocket boxes necessarily that cause the problem but the crank inside the wiper motor. If you take apart the wiper motor you should be able to see a number pressed onto the big cog. That's your sweep. Replacements are available- not sure where though

Personally I'd say he's right, why make life hard on yourself for the test. You’re not doing it to get a prize from the SVA for the most beautiful car, who cares if it’s is not complete so long as it passes the test. It's like the MOT, if you can fail for the condition of the spare wheel, don't go to the test with one in the boot.
