vacuum pipe length

does it matter how long the vacuum pipe is that goes from my ITB's to my MS unit.

is it worth installing a small fuel filter to help stablise the kpa

No and yes. A 0.8mm mig tip can also help damp out the pulses a bit.

Or you can get one of those restrictors used in things like Carbtunes.
Or get a bit of nylon / plastic and drill a fine hole in it. Obviously you don't want to dampen it too much or the vacuum signal will lag behind the engine speed / load...
