My local pound store has got a combined PVR, video and DVD recorder for 150 notes

That's what I'd get!!! Then burn the videos onto DVD....

I was in tescos yesterday and saw a VHS/DVD writer combo with freeview built in £199 , the only downside was no twin tuner so you would be watching waht your recording unless out ofcourse

John i will have a look in the loft to see what electrical goods i might have in the car boot pile.

My sisters got one of them funai ones in bens link. Good bit of kit. But if your gonna spend the money get a twin tuner so you can watch and record different channels.

I bought a freeview dtr from maplin for 40 quid a couple of weeks ago. Nice thing. Runs a pc ide hard drive so you can change the size. iv got an 80gig in mine and it will record about 50 hours on it.
