Watching paint dry, no longer the most boring thing on earth
Now they have a new standard for boredom, and it'd called the olympics.
Apparently who can run around a track quicker than someone else is really interesting, according to various media bodies, but in fact it isn't
interesting at all.
The only thing 'Olympian' about the whole thing is the appalling waste of money and effort.
IMHO

I kind of agree. Whenever you put the telly on its always something like the 3000 mile walk or something. Still, could be worse. There's always
cricket. 3 days of people blocking a ball

Press the red button, and put some of the gymnastics on. Very impressive. Also worth a watch is the beach volleyball!

Personally I do find the second one interesting but, from experience, I know it can bore others to tears.
Each to their own I suppose!?

I wonder how many parasites the Beeb is paying to have a holiday in China. I bet there's three mouths from Blue Peter, one from newsround, any
sports person who has ever worked for the Beeb, team of three comentators for each sport plus pundit for each event plus ex competitor for each event.
Any blond Anthea clone who has ever worked for the Beeb, any BBC executive and that's before you even start on the technical guys. Biggest
trough for all the greedy little piggies in years.

I was reading about this on a political blog: apparently there was some big event or happening, so the Beeb sent 3 or 4 reporting teams, each of which
had the reporter, cameraman, sound man, producer, and so on - a total of 20 or so people.
At the same event, ITV News, Sky and CNN each sent 1 reporter and 1 cameraman!

No, nobody is forcing me to watch, and indeed I am not watching, but
a) there has been some interference with my normal viewing
b) a great deal of my licence money is being wasted

I've long since resigned myself to the fact I pay £130 or whatever it is a year now to watch a film every so often - very rarely on BBC either.
If it weren't for the wife I'd not have a TV any more - if it's not the constant interruptions of "normal" coverage
(such as it is nowadays) it's only crap reality TV shows and "talent" competitions to feed the brain dead and moronic amongst the
population.
