Ikea furniture wood screws needed
I need to buy some spare screws for a bed I have put together. They are the usual type thats fitted to Ikea or Argos furniture, large flat head,
yellow finish, 4mm hex head. The ones I need have a very coarse wood thread on them, not the ones that go through a threaded block
But I can't find spares anywhere. Anyone suggestions of places to try?
As they are made from that wonder material called 'chinese crap metal' as soon as you open your tool box to get out the allen key the head
has already deformed so you can't turn them.
So I have about 6 or so I need to replace. And as they are so soft I am sure thousands of other people have had to replace them too.
Any suggestions? (apart from buying better, more expensive furniture?)

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Do you live far from the Ikea where you bought them? If you go to customer services they usually have boxes of the spare parts where you can just go
and grab handfulls - probably cos they are already aware they're tosh!
