diesel injector cleaner
my old van broke due to the injectors clogging up, but now my new van has broken too! So i need to get the old one working in time for the morning!
Any good reason why i shouldnt bang in an overdose of injector cleaner?!  It says half a bottle to 50L of fuel, im thinking 2 bottles to 10L of
fuel?! I figure there isnt much to lose, unless its definately a bad idea!

You have nothing to lose but does the engine run at all? cos if not then I think you will be wasting your time . If the engine doesn't fire up
give it a squirt of brake cleaner into the inlet, it works as well as easistart and diesels don't seem to get addicted to it like they do with
easistart

nah, it starts fine. When it packed up i managed to drive home by avoiding full boost. Conversely, the vivaro has a turbo that siezes if you DONT keep
it at full boost! Cheers!

At work we use Forte diesel conditioner and get really good results. We fill a new fuel filter with it, put any remaining in the tank and start up.
Had cars that wouldn't tick over or rev cleanly pick up one cylinder at a time and run perfect within seconds of starting.
Forte's not available through the after-market though. Cant see why you can't do the same with others though.

ive got to do 130 miles in total tomorrow, the vivaro used 6 litres of oil to go 250 miles today, and the turbo was cutting out this evening. The
sprinter is definately on its last legs, but its a much tougher van. I just cant decide which to take. Sprinter let me down before. I also have no
time to get either fixed properly all week! What a choice to make
If the injector cleaner works then the sprinter should be good. Gonna take it for a blast and see what happens!
Just thinking out loud, ignore me!

well it seems to have worked, just a shame theres nowt really left on first gear and the damned handbrake sticks 
*note to self, work harder next year and get a better van.

Handbrake sticking will be the adjuster/lever where the single front handbrake cable joins to the rear section. Get undernethun the drivers side just
in front of the rear axle and put some easing oil on. It'll free off in no time with a bit of working about.
