Changing diesel fuel filter on 2.0 tdci

Just changed the fuel filter on my Mondeo diesel. Now it won't start.
Do you have to do any thing like purge the air out? or fill it with diesel?

Theyr a b*****d if you dont fill the filter with diesel first as they wont pull the air through. You need to take the filter off and try to fill it with diesel. Failing that try and borrow a priming pump from someone to pull it through that way. Theyr a right pain as they have no lift pump from the tank.

You could turn it over and over and it might fire up in the end but i wouldnt advise it as the pump is running dry.
