I can't speak for the ones on the M1, but the ones on the M25 near to the M4 junction certainly do!

Im think they arent, you mean the electronic bits say 40mph around the roadworks etc..?

Unless its long term roadworks when its a 40mph and 50mph, then they would have changed the speed cameras to those speeds..

But im not 100% certain, dont risk it with my word!

It would depend on whether or not the speed boards were advisory or mandatory.

The ones on the M25 are variable but mandatory, indicated by them being within a red circle. In this case the cameras follow the change in limit.

I think the ones on the M1 are advisory so the cameras would not be adjusted to suit.

As said before unless the number is in a red circle it's not enforcible. And I also believe no digital signs are either unless there is also a fixed sign next to them. So if you do get a fine argue the toss out of it.
