What do you think about this?
Would this be any good as a semi-daily driver? I would be using it on weekends (year round) and for commuting (35 mile round trip). It would be my
only tintop (or is that GRPtop? ;-)). The wife has a very sensible Ford Ka though and there's also the MK.

Just make sure all the electrics work and the chassis is good.

nice car to look at but to drive they are a bit of a dog,bounce all over the road,hot in summer and steam up when it rains.
have a good look at the chassis as they are thin tubes,if they rot through its a body off job,having said that ....i would

Bullet proof engine and box,not sure about diff but will never be good on fuel, lucky to see more than 20mpg I recon.
Nearly got myself one years ago but the 3000m's were outside my price and the 2500m's just seemed to slow compared to them.

Im in the middle of restoring a 2500m...(same body different engine)...
And looking at the chassis design, its very clever!....
It wont bounce all over the road with a decent set of adjustable coilovers....
The chassis is just crying out for modern engine/tranny/diff....If you did that it would be an awsome car....
As mentioned above...the TVR wiring is SHOCKING....(fuses in the middle of the loom taped up with the wires...random multiplug splices etc...
I have torn the entire mess out and am going to build a new loom....That way the car shouldnt explode into a fireball when I lieave it parked!
Oh...mine is 1972....so FREE road tax
I have striupped the front completely....re-painted and welded up the holes, fitted polybushes and all new ball joints, TRE etc... Now moved onto the
back, new seals in the diff, new bushes where needed...Then the wiring needs doing followed by a retrim inside...

I'd have one, but it would need a better engine than the old essex v6 for me - maybe a cossie upgrade
it never ceases to amaze me about the claims people make in ads though -
"never used in the wet" followed by "The previous owner demonstrated that this is a very usable classic by using it as his daily
runner for a year" where? - in a desert???

I'd have one in a heartbeat, but it would be a long labour of love... restored chassis and bodyshell - new everything else.
I love that 'type' of car, but I have this OCD tendency to have everything 'perfect'!
PS - That particular one looks pretty good though. Not a lot to do if you just want to get in it and drive the thing!

If it wasnt for the fact that mine has just had a respray a few months before I bought it and a chassis repaint a few years ago I think I would have
stripped the body off and redone EVERYTING....Maybe next time....But one in a really bad state and then modernise/modify to make it an interesting

my dad has one, he used it for years to commute...
take out the silencers and she'll sound awesome!! maybe not 100% legal though

Subject to a close physical inspection I would buy that. Just one thing, the camshaft drive gear is made of some kind of material that isn't
metal, so changing it is a good idea.
Changing the whole engine and box for something more modern would be an even better idea
