bike light pattern
hi guys,
it's a bike question as this is an easy site to use on the phone...
got a new cbr but last night I came home for the first time in the dark and noticed that the lights dip too the right rather than the left as per the
cars, hmm bit odd, checked the markings on the lenses and nothing much is written on the bar usual E1. is this normal or have they got the wrong units
in? sure my cg dipped too the left, would have checked but I'd get a telling of for running the old bike in the house 
any ideas? ta

i thought bike lights dipped to the centre?

Bikes either dip to a flat beam or with a kick-up to the left as for cars. If the kick-up is to the right then you either have a foreign lamp unit or
a slight possibility that the unit neds to be rotated in its housing.

hmm well this onces got twin lamps built into the faring with dip and main using alternate lamps. Couldn't see any adjustment screws, surely
honda would wouldn't make such a blunder as to fit foreign lights? I'll have to buy a manual for it. ta

as said LHD and RHD drive light patterns are totally different -
picture it like a triangle of light - lhd goes higher to the right and rhd opposite
it is possible to make a mistake at the factory - the people are human who work there and i have seen it happen before elsewhere

unless you purchased new, the previous owner may have replaced the lamps.

ok sounds like I need to go back to honda and have it checked, waranty lasts for 2 years, mot due in three...

Maybe previous owner changed lights because of foreign travel?
When we lived in Holland for 18mths my Dad fitted Euro lights to his Cavalier for the duration so he didn't have to have those 'reflector
stickers' on the lenses.
Just wondering is same has happened with the bike and then not been changed back?

er no I bought it brand new last week from the aberdeen honda dealer, only used it a few times, thats what made me wonder how it could be wrongly set
up...
