Cencus questions
Who dreams them up.
Went sailing in Wales over the weekend. Four cars towing boats and we were stopped in Newtown.
Then come the questions.
Where have you come from?
Where are you traveling to?
This is the one "Have you considered using public transport"?
Does anyone know of a bus that will tow four boats to the middle of no where?

Come on, Public transport????
They are just like big moving s**t houses that you have to share with some mad bloke with a carrier bag with a "ive got a time bomb in
here" sort.
If I was in say, Berlin yes I would use city transport, in fact ive been to 3rd world countries that make me embarrassed due to their efficiency.
This campaign of getting out of the car seems to be all about blaming us for the countrys useless public transport system.
I nearly lost a job once traveling 35 miles a day by train and that was when I got the train that should have got me there 56 minutes before i needed
to.

Before I bought my car I tried to use public transport to work.
13mile journey between to major SouthEast towns.
35minute walk, 2 trains, then 50minute walk, bus or taxi. Total journey time 1.5-2.0hours and cost a bloody fortune.
When I bought a car it took 30minutes! When I worked late I could get home in 18minutes!
Moving back to public transport just ain't gonna happen is it!
Cheers,
James

Were you, per chance, heading to Abersoch for the RS300/600 event?

This is the problem, before i could drive i used to struggle getting to many job that i have had. There was just no public transport there, or it was
just such a convoluted route it took ages.
I used to have to cycle over 10 miles to go to various jobs that i had. Now that i have passed my test, i would never go back! well i would if i lived
in a city. But then i would cycle as i used to get around like that in Southampton and it was great. Free and healthy!
