help me find a place in ireland
if an irish person tells you a place that sounds like it should be spelt 'killmorty', where might it be? Im far enough off that google
cant guess it. Its 20mins from rosslare, and i think 1hr 50 from dublin. And i need to set off there at 7am!

Are you sure it's a place and not an instruction?

Is it near Wexford. The nearest I can find courtesy of Garmin is Kilmore (maybe lost in the accent)?

Having looked at it again there appears about at least a dozen kilmores there. Do you have a street name, postcode or premises or anything like that
and I'll try the sat nav again.

Good luck !!!! been down that part sometimes road signs can be rather lacking if off the main roads!!!
found this lot on wiki Kilanerin, Kilmore, Kilmore Quay, Kilmuckridge, Kiltealy but not anything like kilmorty but sometimes the locals will have
their own name for something..
Plus add the gaelic name to the mix and it can get rather interesting

Kilmore Quay in a swift Oirish accent is 'Kilmorky'.

you legends
i just concluded it must be kilmore quay said fast.
She gave me the house name, and said sat nav would recognise it, and that there was no postcode! Sat nav has no joy, and sadly google earth in that
area is very poor, but i think i have enough to go on now! It fits in that its about half way between two place too (kilmore quay being one of
them!).
cheers!
bloody website i found it through is doing a 404, which would worry me if she hadnt sounded nice as pie and not asked for any money!

Navigation in Ireland is always a bit interesting - not helped by the fact that they don't have postcodes outside of Dublin and Cork.
Good luck!

Last time I was in Ireland, they were half way through changing the signs over from miles to km!
So you'd be driving along and a sign would say "Cork 98", then the next sign you'd see would be "Cork 112", then
the next one would be "Cork 80". Very confusing, especially as the speed limit varied between 30 and 120 according to the signs!

We we're going to galway couple of years ago. At a junction seen arrow with 72kms on it followed that road no other signs until 45mins later at
another junction sign read 70kms
