Leaded Fuel in Unleaded Car?

Im just pricing up the parts of my MG so i can decide what i want to do with it and i was thinking, if i sold the petrol tank, could i put the existing fuel (unleaded with lead substitute) in my Jag?

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I assume you intended driving it before you were told about the welding? if so why dont you just keep using it until the MOT is due and then think about what to do with it?.
I have an MGB that i bought over 20 years ago , it had had some sill repairs done to a poor standard even though it was only 11 years old when i bought it, I replaced all the sill structure using a mixture of brazing , and arc welding as MIGs werent easily available then, it is now in need of a new shell but considering it is now illegal to braze and the arc welding was only stich welds it still outlasted the original .Structurally it was also strong enough as it was rear ended and wrote off the police Sierra that hit it and the escort in front that it was pushed into, I just had a new rear panel ,petrol tank, rear and front bumpers and grille fitted and repaired the front wings .

Due to the amount of welding needed, i have been advised not to use it. If i did use it it would be to get to college. 70 miles per day, along the A27. Quite a dangerous road.
