Simple - Toyota corolla
My sister has had an 8 year old one for 3 years. Never washes it, never maintains it, drives into things all the time, treats it like a mobile
skip…but it never breaks down or fails an MOT
she use to live up a hill with a horrific dirt track and storm up it at 20 mph scaring me silly, it was so bad one of my bluebirds (not the good one)
rear suspension actually snapped after going up it! never seemed to do any harm to the corolla and their shogun suffered more.
Don’t buy a ford or Vauxhall, their utter crap, don’t think very much of vw’s either tbh
Audi’s seem well made but are quite pricey to keep and are over complicated

I have a Laguna. Provisionally sold but if the sale falls through, £1k. No offers!!
It's a 1.8 16v Dynamique. 2001 51 plate.
Mot until middle of December. It had a thorough goin over at the last MOT and had all the rear subframe bushes, track rod ends and front springs
fitted. It should sail through another test.
Cheap insurance. Feel free to get a quote. Reg number YE51 VVX

I've had 3 Cavalier’s and one Vectra with at engine, imagine how fast a Corsa is with one fitted! mental

If you can build your own car you can fix ANY problem on an 8v mk3 Golf for less than £200. And there won't be that many problems

if you want a reliable car and dont car about street cred! then a toyota starlet has gotta be the most reliable car ever!! also agree with mr wippy a
corolla is super reliable to, may not look the best but will last forever. if you want something with street cred then a golf is the way to go. mk3
are cheap to get hold of, just rust alot compared to a mk2!

I have had a succession of Toyota cars - as said above, not the most exciting but reliable and cheap to maintain, as long as they get a regular
service.

Cars that cause the most problems tend to be FIAT, Renaults and to a lesser extent PGA group although if you get a Pug or Citroen with rear suspension
problems it is serious money to fix.
FIATs in your price range fall into the range that are prone major engine imobilser problems ---- which can cost 4 figure money to fix.
VW group Ford, Nissan, Toyata, Mazda and Vauxhall tend to be safer bets.

i also agree on this one!! love it when vw owners say they got loads of service history with all the reciepts of extra WORK DONE!! now a true
reliable only needs servicing!! like a toyota, had my starlet for 5 years clocked just under 200,000 miles on it and was super reliable. didnt even
need a clutch change in the time i had it.
ps
avoid renaults at all costs.
