Is this CV boot clip any good?
I have just bought a CV Joint kit to do SWMBOs Tigra, and it came with these clips.
Description
I have not seen them before, are they any good?
I guess I pull it tight, fold it back over and push the tags in before cutting of the excess metal. I cant quite decide which way round to put it,
probably folded over bit pointing to back of car.
If anyone has fitted one of these, do they last?
Thanks
David

you need a special tool to put them on,just use a cable tie and sell that to someone who wants to lad their exhaust

Its best to use the correct type if using cable ties, you need the ones that feed in from the end and not the side like the popular ones.

The tool worked quite well, looks quite a neat job.
The old ones (10 years and 100,000 miles) were doing a good job, the grease was liquid and there wasn't the slightest sign of a leak. The
liquid grease spilt into my screwdriver box once I pulled the gaitor back to see the circlip. That took some cleaning up, but better than going on
the drive I suppose.
I have had nothing but trouble from cable ties and wont use them again, although I haven't seen a type different to the 'normal'
ones.
Thanks for all your help.
