Wishbone brackets
I need to fit my wishbone brackets but im a bit scared.
Obviously they need to be acurate but im a bit stuck on how to do it. I cant make a frame as in the book because i have no way if cutting holes big
enough to fit the bolts through.
Also does it matter if the wishbones are at a slight angle ie, the distance between the front brackets on the front wishbone are less than the rear
brackets on the front wishbone?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

you can buy them pre-made and drilled, though yours will probably have to be castings...hee hee hee

I think you should be downright terrified!
Alternatively you might just be mildly concerned to get it as right as possible the first time, and to not have to redo stuff more than is moderately
necessary.
Just do the best you can, you'll soon be able to see if you need to redo anything.

I do not understand what mean that you cannot drill holes big enough...
I don't quite understand the angle querie either.

why aren't you simply marking out the bracket locations from the chassis itself? pick a couple of center line points and measure from them
either side. your problem isn't all that clear tbh

Don't understand your question!
But if you build a jig like the one listed above, or the one in my photo archive, then it's really easy to place the brackets.

^^^ Thats what i mean. I cant build a jig like that because the bolts are too big. I already have the brackets made. I just need to get them in the
right place.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Bump!
Come on Speedy.... explain all?
Again, bolts are too big...?
Are they 25mm diameter bolts or summat? Even then I would've thought you could get tube that would go through the bracket holes!
