Correct! right at the back of it in the garden area. Thats one of the more sensible signs in China, a lot of them would have your sides literally splitting

it might be typical chinglish but it does sound like a wise saying!

You have to bear in mind that there are more chinese people speaking english as a second language than there are english speaking english as a first language!

They might (probably do) have the same sign, but tweek and AndyW are 100% correct it was taken in the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden city right at the back by the 'mountain'.

This was a sign in the yuyuan gardens - not as funny as yours though it was on a gate.





This one was just off the great wall of china - i did what i was told and put my skates on!!!!





And this one in a youth hostel was simply wrong!
