should i blast her

as per title in addition to the 7 i am restoring a mk1 escort 2dr

my dilema is to wether to sandblast the shell or strip it by hand/wirebrush in grinder
i have concerns over the sand getting into all the box sections and been unable to get it all back out

How about dipping the shell?

Proper restorers use chemical paint strippers, if your blaster get carried away you end up with rippled/dented panels.

did my austin the old fashioned way nitromors, scraper, hot air gun and as DA, did use my sandblaster only on pitted sections prior to chemical rust treatment . Couldn't have asked for a better finish Then sprayed her Speedwell blue see avtar, then like a dirk sold her to fund my locost

I see in the classic car mags that dipping process, looks fantastic but might be costly and it does require a total strip down. Best bit is after you have weld up the car they then dip it in another tank and rust proof it inside and out like a new car
