Need new mobile...

Annoyingly i broke my mobile phone last night and it's knackered! Screen is cracked, can't see anything (except cracked screen and LCD colours all over the shop!) and it keeps just turning itself off.

So i need a new phone. I'm with Orange so either need an Orange phone or would it be better to get one that's unlocked?

Where would be a good place to get an unlocked one. not fussed what one, I'm not 'into' mobile phones so cheap is good and Nokia seem to be easiest to use.

Cheers

I dont think nokia do orange phones. Ive seen black and silver, possibly pink and purple. They might do a limited edition metallic red that looks orange in some lights if thats what you mean?

If you arent fussed what the phone is probs easier to get one off someone who has upgraded and pop your sim card in. Worst bit is you may not be able to access your contacts list unless you have backed it up. In which case smae phone might be better idea to get your data back.

Go into your local Tesco, they seem to be really cheap.

ie Nokia 6300 in store is about £75 for a really good phone, yet look online and people are asking for (and some paying) upto £100 for them.

They do have some cheaper, more basic nokias about £30 ish.

If you just need a mobile, WHSmith do a sony ericsson for 30 quid? Just a mobile to use.

Go to carphone warehouse, get a Nokia 6300 PAYG on whichever network the want to rob you of the least ammount of PAYG credit top start with. USe up the £10 credit spammin gyou mates with annoying text messages and then continue with your proper sim in it until you break it again.

They normally do the 6300 for £70 when bought with £10 of O2 airtime i.e. you pay £80. The advantage is that their handsets are UNLOCKED so you can use any O2, Orange, Voda or tmobile sim in it
