Help, Ebay Troubles!

Hello People,

I have a problem with 'the bay'......I had my Golf for sale on there with a 'buy it now' price and the 'make an offer' function for the last ten days.
I had no offers made within those ten days and the advert expired at approximately 21:00 last night. Logging on today I have been informed that an offer was made (must have been just before the advert ended) but it was automatically declined as I didn't accept it before the end of the advert!
I would be happy to accept the offer but can't get in contact with the person as ebay are keeping their identity private!
I am really not happy as I need the car sold and I feel ebay have screwed me over
The person making the offer should have done so earlier on and not waited until the last minute, but not being able to contact them really annoys me!

Does anyone have any suggestions?!

Incidently, would anyone like a Black 3dr MK3 Golf GTi 16v??!

Relist it, if they were serious they will re-make the offer.

Must try harder

If he/she was a "watcher" of the item, he/she will be informed that the item has been relisted.

That's what I thought I'd have to do. Ebay just really annoys me. You should have at least 24hrs to accept or decline offers after the advert ends.
Seems silly to me.

Sounds like the offerer's fault to me, leaving it til the last minute, probably thought it would be the same as sniping an auction
