How does CF wear? I know it is can be strong to resist bending but I suspect that it will wear out quite quickly when having constact contact with a
chain?
Having said that, the standard Shimano issue a plastic so maybe not so bad.
I once fitted a pair of aluminium jockey wheels and despite the inner bearing being sealed, much like these, it seized up in no time.

Jockey wheels don't wear fast because there's no real load on them; Just the spring tension and side load when shifting. Very bling but
you can't see it and its cheaper to just miss a few Mars Bars to loose the weight.

haha - spotted them myself on fleabay previously. Totally pointless i recon - even the top of the range SRAM X-0 mech has plastic jockey wheels to go
with its carbon cage and titanium bolts etc. There's no real strain on the jockey wheels mind so doubt wear would be such an issue - they are
just to guide the chain after all. I'd still stick with the proven standard items though!!
Far too bling for me (and i have nearly £2k worth of full susp mountain bike)

yeah, maybe not much load but what about the mud paste?
How does CF wear compared to plastic (the one from which Shimano JW are made) or aluminium alloy?

totally pointless parts, but it carbon so must be good, yeah right
I love seeing folk out on the road on a mountain bike, so funny watching them pedalling away like mad doing 15mph on big silly nobly tires and I go
past on my racer doing more than twice that with no effort

Thats bling okay, trouble is you'd need to clean them each ride otherwise they will just turn black and loose the effect.

yea i have heard that in the past but i dont think it is policable - how do cars that are polished ally get away with it? my dax was 50% polished - i
presume the theory was dazzling other drivers - well surely screens could do the same
