ne7ers teesside trackday 3/11/08
oioi - 19/9/08 at 01:22 PM

Peter and I (it was mostly me being a luggered) finally got our act in gear and have booked Teesside for another ne7ers trackday :-))))

Usual format. Open Pitlane, as much tracktime as you can eat, lunch. se7ens only.

It should be 85quid, assuming we get the usual 30 cars. If we struggle for numbers (as it is novemeber) then there might have to be a slight increase.

Could you please email me oioi at dsl dot pipex dot com your interest ASAP. I need names by 26/9 and money by 3/10 for this to go ahead. Once I have names I will send out the payment request.

For those that havent been before this is one of the friendliest and most relaxed trackdays that you can do, very little traffic out on the circuit and good banter in the pits

Guinness - 19/9/08 at 05:48 PM

I'm in!

Yep I've having a practice knacker-shivver tomorrow at Cuborough so I'll be used to the cold by next Monday

Andy D - 29/10/08 at 11:12 AM

Forecast still cold, but more importantly dry! Too early I know, but cant help watching it.. Cold sunny November day would be

Andy D - 2/11/08 at 04:50 PM

After a soggy day karting today, the forecast for tomorrow's not looking bad..

Jubal - 2/11/08 at 05:21 PM

I am giving this a miss tomorrow. Personal reasons. If anyone wants it at this late stage then the place is theirs.

Krismc - 2/11/08 at 06:19 PM

can i borrow you car as well??

Sorely tempting, but I really can't.... I can;t to the extent that I came down with a pig of a cold on Friday morning but it didn't kick in properly until Friday night!

Yeah, get here about 5am and I'll have it loaded on the trailer and the 5 series warmed up! The jerries are full too

If Jubal did trackdays etc....

gingerprince - 2/11/08 at 09:05 PM

Hope the forecast for dry tomorrow is accurate - just finished loading the car on the trailer in the p1ssing rain!

Thursday, Croft. ...well, Pete's got the Honda booked in, I'm second driver.

Andy D - 3/11/08 at 09:16 PM

Hell of a day! The track eventually dried out, and I dont think there were any serious "offs". Got away with using slicks all day, they were a bit iffy first thing, but performed OK on the damp track.

Big thnks to Mike and Peter fot the organising.

Took a load of pics, a few here..

petrolhead - 3/11/08 at 09:17 PM

Cheers for the support guys

Mr K trying not to break it

The rest are here - http://petrolhead.fotopic.net/c1605837.html

Andy D - 3/11/08 at 09:20 PM

..and Pete's really got his finger out, and produced a bit of video. ne7ers trackday vid

Had to put music to it, to cover the wind noise. (forgot to tape over the mic.)

Enjoy.

Jubal - 3/11/08 at 09:36 PM

Great pics! I love that cage on your car, looks the biz.

PAUL FISHER - 3/11/08 at 11:52 PM

Guinness - 4/11/08 at 06:36 AM

Paul, the yellow Westie had a supercharged busa on board.

Made for a fairly rapid car, when it was on song.

(When it was off song it sounded like a bag of hammers!)

Thanks for organising the day Peter / Mike

Mike

PAUL FISHER - 4/11/08 at 01:35 PM

Supercharged busa you don't see many of those around, nice I want one

It went quite well didn't it! 300bhp or there abouts. Luke Algar (Dad Nick's old sprint car) driving it on track for only the second time as far as I know. Did a good job keeping it tamed I reckon, and was picking up speed towards the end of the day.

The blue Westy in the vid is Pete's old car, he said it was kind o' sad chasing it round the track, knowing it wasn't his any more..

PAUL FISHER - 4/11/08 at 05:02 PM

300bhp,looking at the size of those tyres must have been a real handfull around Teeside. Rescued attachment westy.jpg

Andy D - 4/11/08 at 05:10 PM

Yes, I think the arches can accomodate considerably wider tyres!
