SVA pass!!!!!!
Mave - 23/8/06 at 07:05 PM

My Indy passed today after a retest. The initial fails were:
- radius intrument bezels (VDO white cockpit series). Solved with two rubber donuts (on two intruments only, the rest was in the "steering wheel zone"
- exhaust clamp had a sharp edge (clamp where end pipe meets silencer)
- brake balance (solved with addition Mini reduce valve in rear system (I'm running a twin master cylinder/balance bar set-up))
- Speedo didn't work during test; sensor had moved.

Next week it will go to the DVLA, and then she comes back to Holland!!!!!!!! (and then it has to go through the dutch tests, and I have to import it back).

Bring on the summer!!!!! (?)

likewise, very smooth lokking car and well done on passing.

What front cycle wings have you fitted - are they Dax Rush ones?

Mave - 24/8/06 at 01:17 PM

Yes, the front wings are from Dax, the rear wings are (modified) VM (similar to Dax), the rear panel is MK, and the rest of the body is scratch build.

The front top wishbones have been modified for better self-centering. And as such it passed the SVA without tricks like springs around the steering rack, weird tyre pressures or toe-in/out angles.
