Emissions

I'm not sure that this is the best place to post this but here goes.
In the SVA manual in section 18 there is a flow chart for which emissions test to carry out.
My question is how is this interpreted?
The CAT test for an effective date of post 1st Aug 95 says:
"Can you find an exact match in the analyser database or the In-Service Emissions Book?
As my engine has not got a standard Ford exhaust system or standard Ford inlet/induction system on it is surely the answer to this question NO?
What I want to know is: Do I have to comply with the Vehicle Specific limits or the Default Limits ?
The way I read it it's the CAT test default limits that will aply for the reason stated above.
Difinitave answer from experience would be best or thoughts please.

I'm pretty sure this is where your proof of engine age letter comes into play. The SVA tester then uses the limits in force the year your engine was made. The "exact match" stuff is for the exact vehicle make/model/engine.

Cheers,

Eddy
